Full-time employees of professional exhibit houses may install and dismantle their clients’ exhibits by providing company identification.
In most cases, full-time employees may hand carry their materials into the convention center, but the use of dollies, flat trucks, and other mechanical equipment is not permitted by exhibitors. Access to loading docks is controlled by the official service contractor to ensure a safe and efficient move-in and move-out.
Electrical labor includes wiring, hookups, interconnections, electrical signs and some A/V connections. Responsibility for assembly, installation and dismantle of anything using electricity as a source of power is provided by union personnel. The specific contractor is chosen either by facility management or the show organizer.
